These were recorded on cell phones and sound stripped from video camera over the last few years. These are sketches. There are errors. There are artifacts like footswitch sounds, missed notes and buzzed frets. These ideas have been kicking around in my head for so long I needed to just start purging in order to create room for more. The time I need to transform them into something more grand always seems elusive, so here are rough sketches in presentation frames. This is a collection of recordings made at different times, in different places, and in different states of mind. Most of these songs have lyrics and vocal melodies; but they are not represented here. This is just guitar. Next time it might be more. Some I am not including; this is just what is presentable as is. Some may be re-recorded, some others may never be recorded the first time. I wanted to just make it simple and simply begin. For now Exvrbs is just me, but may expand/shrink as time passes. I hope these stories are of pleasure to someone, or a soundtrack to some real moment. Think of them as little movies without images. The truth is that these songs found me at the right time in life. At one point I thought I wouldn’t play music anymore. Learning these songs was me re-learning the guitar after a decade. These melodies were my therapy.
